March came in … not with a good, good, good Beach Boys vibration, but with vibes we had been warned about in Butler, Fayette and Westmoreland Counties sounding off on seismic testing. As we head into April, our group of Sustainable Monroeville Volunteers have meanwhile been busy canvassing all over Monroeville. The overwhelming numbers of homeowners are NOT happy about seismic testing. Have you seen the signs? There is one more event door knocking event to complete, as our volunteers have covered 8 out of 9 territories (turfs).
Come to the next Sustainable Monroeville Meeting to hear about and discuss Monroeville’s reaction to the O&G Industry.
Monday, April 2, 2018, 7:00 PM, Monroeville Public Library Program Room
Agenda:
- Seismic Testing and miscommunications (or, How GeoKinetics - the seismic testing arm of Huntley and Huntley, are stomping and shaking their way through Monroeville).
- News of Air Quality Monitoring Systems, with thanks to our friends in Westmoreland County, where they know a thing or two about safety measurements. An Allegheny County Update on that.
- Monroeville Council’s upcoming Seven Springs Mountain Resort Meeting, which is the reason Council has moved Citizens’ Night up to Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 7:00 PM, Municipality of Monroeville (let’s wish them a great time in the resort learning about new initiatives, and … wait - there is nothing at this conference about the Oil and Gas Industry???)
See you Monday night, April 2, 2018… Bring a friend. Bring a neighbor. Everyone is welcomed!
Great Big Thank You,
